Products needed for homeless people in Portland

God has put it on my heart to use my platform for something bigger than business—to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness in Portland, Oregon.

As we head into winter, I’m inviting my friends, family, clients, church and community to join me in collecting items that offer warmth, comfort, and a reminder that someone cares. I’ll be taking our donations directly to Portland Rescue Mission on Wednesdays (Oct 28th and November 11th and Nov 25th).

You don’t have to do something big to be part of this. You can simple clean out your closet of items you no longer need that fit the list below (and meet me on the Tuesday prior at B4 church from 5:00-6:00pm) or you can directly contribute by doing a little shopping and send warm items directly to me or Portland Rescue Mission at 111 W, Burnside St. Portland, OR. 97209 prior to one of those days...and who doesn't like shopping :)

A pair of socks, a warm coat, or a few winter essentials can be a beautiful way to show love to someone you may never meet.

Check your closet or shop and send supplies

I’ve put together an Amazon shopping list to make participating easy if you can drop off items. You can purchase an item and have it shipped to me so it arrives before Wednesday (message me privately for the shipping address)

Here are the items I’m collecting:

I’m also collecting small personal-care items, including lip balm, travel-size lotion, body wipes, toothbrush and toothpaste kits, and menstrual products.

If you’d like to contribute supplies for several people, you can also shop bulk winter care-package kits.

To see all items I'm collecting check out the full list: HERE

Please check the delivery date before ordering so your donation reaches me in time!

Drop off donations Tuesday

You don’t need to shop on Amazon to participate.

Have a warm coat you no longer wear? Extra gloves, a blanket, or winter clothing you were planning to take to Goodwill? Please consider setting those items aside for this collection.

I’ll be accepting donations:

Tuesday Oct 27th, Tuesday Nov 3rd and Tuesday Nov. 24th 5-6p.m. at B4 parking lot (13565 SW Walker Rd. Beaverton,OR 97005). I'll be in a white Defender :)

Please bring clean, gently used winter clothing, coats, blankets, or new items from the list above. New socks, underwear, and unopened personal-care products are especially welcome.

If you have other items you’d like to donate, message me first so we can confirm they’re a good fit for this collection.

I’ll gather everything and take it to Portland Rescue Mission on Wednesday, the following day.

My commitment to you

I want to be completely transparent: I happen to be an Amazon affiliate. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases made through my affiliate links.

My promise is that 100% of the commissions I receive from purchases through the links in this post will be donated to help people experiencing homelessness in Portland...either through buying more supplies or donating the money directly to Portland Rescue Mission.

Join me in showing love in our backyard

If you’re able, please buy an item, bring a donation Tuesday evening, or share this post with someone who might want to help.

And whether or not you can give, please join me in praying for our neighbors experiencing homelessness and for the people serving them.

My hope is that we can offer more than supplies—that we can help someone feel seen, valued, and loved.

Thank you for helping me turn something God put on my heart into action. ❤️

With gratitude,

Cindy
