Meet Cindy: Your Cedar Mill Realtor, Neighbor, and Home-Life Enthusiast
Updated: Oct 30
Hi, I’m Cindy Main, a Portland-area Realtor, business owner, mom, dog mom, traveler, and proud Cedar Mill neighbor.
Whether you are considering a move to the Portland area, looking for a home on the west side, or simply love homes, local life, and making everyday routines a little easier, I’m glad you’re here.
I created this space to share practical real-estate guidance, Cedar Mill and Portland-area resources, home ideas, local favorites, useful finds, and the real-life moments in between. Buying or selling a home is a major life decision, but it should not have to feel confusing or overwhelming. My goal is to help make the process feel organized, strategic, and personal.
A Little About Me
I was born in Colorado but have been happily 'Oregon-refined since 2002. I earned degrees in International Business and Marketing from Oregon State University- go Beavs! ...and began my career as a financial advisor before moving into real estate.
That financial background still shapes how I work today. I love helping people think through the numbers, timing, options, and long-term implications of a move—not just the bedrooms, bathrooms, and list price.
I am also a mom to a 3-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, which means I understand firsthand that a home has to work for real life: busy mornings, family dinners, storage needs, neighborhood routines, school runs, playdates, and the occasional pile of laundry that somehow multiplies overnight.
Our family also includes Oona, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. When I am not working or spending time with family, you can usually find me at Life Time, watching basketball (Go Blazers!), snowboarding, volunteering, planning my next international trip, or trying a new local spot. I have visited 25 countries so far, and I am always ready to add another destination to the list.
Most importantly, I love God, people, community, and helping others move toward a life that feels more like home.

Why Cedar Mill?
Cedar Mill is one of those places that makes sense once you spend time here. It is a largely residential, unincorporated Washington County community on Portland’s west side, near Beaverton, Bethany, and the Highway 26 corridor. That location gives residents access to Portland, westside employers, parks, services, and community amenities while retaining a neighborhood-oriented feel.[1][2]
It is especially appealing for people who want a quieter home base with access to green space, nearby shopping and services, and a range of commute options. Like anywhere in the Portland metro area, the experience can vary significantly by street, home, school boundary, commute destination, and lifestyle priorities—so I always encourage buyers to explore the specific pockets they are considering before making a decision.
Cedar Mill Resources
If you are exploring a move here, these are excellent places to start:
- Cedar Mill & Bethany Community Libraries The Cedar Mill Library at 1080 NW Saltzman Road offers books, events, meeting spaces, digital resources, and a Library of Things.
- Washington County Cooperative Library Services Find current library hours, services, and events.
- Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District Explore parks, trails, youth programs, classes, and recreation opportunities throughout Cedar Mill and the west side.
- Beaverton School District If schools are important to your move, use the district’s boundary tools and confirm attendance assignments directly with the district before writing an offer. School boundaries can change and should always be verified.
- TriMet Trip Planner Check current MAX, bus, and commute options from the areas you are considering.
- Bethany information Washington County’s Bethany Link connects parts of Bethany and Cedar Mill to Sunset Transit Center, where riders can connect to MAX and bus service.
- Washington County Useful for county services, planning information, property-related questions, and services in this unincorporated area.
A helpful first step when moving to Cedar Mill is to spend time here at different hours: drive the school or work commute, visit a nearby park, stop by the library, test your usual grocery run, and get a feel for the streets and traffic patterns that matter most to your household.
